We are Changing the World One Candle at a Time!

Welcome a new Sponsor

I would like to thank my very first sponsor, Soy Terrific Candles and Body Cream Candles.

I have become involved with Soy Terrific Candles because I believe in their product and how they are helping the environment not only offering a pure clean burning candle, but all of their products, (jars, wicks, soybean wax, essential oils and vegetable-based coloring) is all bought here in the United States. I don't know about you, but that is very important to me to keep Americans working and getting our products made right here where I live.

Soy Terrific and Body Cream Candles are made locally here in Fontana, California. The candles are poured daily and packaged right when they are ordered. Currently there are over 1300 fragrances available and each one is truly an escape for the mind and senses.

Here are some benefits of 'our' soy candles:

1. Our candles burn with little to no soot
2. Our candles disperse fragrances faster and further
3. Our candles are a GREAT value
4. Any spills can be cleaned up with soap and water
5. We use only 100% pure soy wax and our wicks are 100% organic cotton
6. We offer beautiful colors to match any decor

We currently have over 1300 fragrances that are available. We even take Special Orders!

My First Blogger Award Nomination Yay!!!

Making cards is not the only gratification I get. I have found a really wonderful person, Terri from Two Pink Peas, who was my very first follower on my blog. She and her daughter, Hallie, left me the kindest comment and thanks to Terri and her encouragement, I will do my best to try and make fun and inspiring cards.

You can find Terri's blog here:

Terri nominated me for my very first blogger award which I think is pretty cool! LOL! Thank you Terri. So in order for me to fulfill my nomination, there are a few things I need to do. First, I sent a thank you to Terri for nominating me and posted her link. Second, I have to answer 7 random facts about myself and third, I need to pass the award onto 8 other blog buddies. I may have a problem with the third step. I only have three followers and Terri is one of the three, LOL. Oh well, I will send it to other bloggers that I follow that keep me inspired.

So here it goes:

1. I am a DJ on a local jazz station here in southern California and host my very own internet radio show
2. My oldest daughter, 21, speaks fluent Japanese
3. My youngest daughter, 20, speaks fluent French
4. I will celebrate my 23rd wedding anniversary on Dec. 30th
5. If I had a lot of money, I would be broke because I would help those less fortunate
6. I am planning a jazz concert in honor of my sister who passed away of leukemia and donate the proceeds to further leukemia research
7. I can't say 'split pea soup' three times fast (try it, it's difficult, LOL)

Well, that's as random as I can get. So for the blogs I follow, they are listed below:

2. Ali's Thoughts
3. ChicnScratch
4. Cardz TV
5. Ohhh Snap

I hope all who follow enjoy! Thank you for all your great projects and inpirations!

I'm Back Well Not Completely - LOL

We are all moved in but needless to say there are many boxes that still need to be emptied. By me not feeling 100%, this move was difficult. Moving a family of four is very challenging. We had lots of strong guys helping with the heavy furniture as well as young ladies helping with all the other stuff.

We are here finally! We are somewhat comfortable. As I said, many boxes still need to be unpacked but we are getting around quite comfortably! Yeah!!!

All of my cardmaking and scrapbook supplies are still packed away. I am not sure when exactly I will be able to start up again. It will be soon. However, Monday is my birthday so we are planning something for that. I am really looking forward to it too!

I am hoping to get into my supplies by Father's Day weekend. I miss all of you. I have watched all of the videos today that were sitting in my inbox and saw so many wonderful ideas, I cannot wait to try them all.

I will see all of you very soon!

Missing In Action

I will be offline for about three weeks. We are in the middle of packing and moving to our new home. Once we get settled, I will pick up where I left off and continue with my beginner card making. Keep posting your cards and ideas. Until then, I need more boxes and packing tape!!! LOL
